Traditional Chinoiserie hand-painted silk wallpapers customarily adorning English and French estates and chateaux since the 17th century are scaled down and framed into a diptych (pair) by Simon Paul Scott for Jardins en Fleur.
These depict delicate pale ivory, white, green and beige botanicals painted on a neutral color silk which almost defies definition. The silk is vaguely beige, almost a dove grey with a subtle shimmer. Because of its neutrality, this remains one of our most popular designs. Due to the hand-made nature of each piece, minimal variations may occur.
Framed in our latest moulding from Italy. Solid wood with a scoop from the outer edge inwards towards the art. The face is ¾” wide and has hand-applied gold leaf foil that’s slightly distressed while the sides are dyed ebony/black. Depth of the frame is 1 1/8” from back to front.
Each panel measures approximately 24" wide x 48" high. Arrive ready to hang. We frame them to order so while we make every effort to expedite them, please allow up to 14 business days maximum before they ship.
